Hi!!!! Life is crazy, so I wanted to make sure you got Behavior Sorting Activities for ADHD & Autistic Children: Good vs. Poor Choices. I created this just for you, because I know exactly how you feel. When I first started teaching and caring for children with ADHD & level 1 or 2 autism, I struggled. I had kids who were banging their heads, screaming out every 12 seconds (we timed it), constantly talking, never sitting down, and were in each other’s space. This is just a few of the issues I was dealing with. I was always worried that I wasn’t able to meet their social, emotional and learning needs. I never felt like I was able to help them reach their full potential and see the value in their gifts and talents. I was constantly worried that they would walk away feeling like they didn’t matter because of their diagnosis. I knew things needed to change, so I took a step back, learned through professional development, had long discussions with parents to see what they needed from me and engaged in conversation with my children. I do this on a constant basis to ensure that I no longer have to worry about meeting the needs of my children as I want each of them to feel the depth of my love for them as they understand that they’re truly valued. I also changed my curriculum to meet their needs and my set up so that they learned how to make and maintain friendships while learning how to self-regulate. Now, I’m so excited to help others with teaching and caring for their child with ADHD & level 1 or 2 autism. I have so much more goodness to share with you, and I can’t wait to be your go-to gal for all things ADHD & level 1 or 2 autism. Take care, Charlotte Lim P.S. Are you following me on YouTube?
